I was initially worried about the pot sticking but if you add a bit more water (1/4 cup) or let the rice soak for 15 minutes on the warm setting, you shouldn't have a burnt crust at the bottom of the cooking chamber. The rice cooker also delivers better heat distribution - I can have rice in about 15 minutes. A great buy overall.

I was so disappointed when I bought this. Thick sticky stuff splatters out of the vent hole. It gets all over kitchen counter and on the floor. I have tried using a towel to cover the counter. It is just too much trouble. It is easier to just cook brown rice in a pot. Perhaps it works for white rice, but I am not happy with the result I get with brown rice.

Very easy to use. Cleaning is a breeze... even if the rice dries in the stainless steel bowl. Just soak it for a half an hour and it cleans fast. Inner bowl has a mirror finish. Tye top is glass with a little port that spews steam. Rice cooks well but I noticed that most of the time it comes out a little on the moist side. This may be due to adding too much water to start with. I noticed after several uses, the stainless bowl discolors a bit on the bottom side due to the heating coil nearby. Otherwise, I'm very pleased. It's a very nice looking product.

I purchased this quiet rice cooker because of the stainless steel interior pot. It is very difficult to avoid aluminum or teflon in rice cookers. I wish that the rice cooker was fully sealed like many Asian rice cookers in which you can leave rice in the cooker for longer periods. The tiny air hold on the lid dries out the rice quickly, so you'll have to store the rice immediately after cooking.
